Closer Capital's personal loan funding puts up to $250K in your hands at 0% for a promo period. Fast and document-light, but the liability is yours.
By Closer Capital Reviews · Last updated August 2026 · How we make money
Why this score:The 0% promotional window and near-zero documentation are genuinely useful, but this is personal debt on your personal credit with no business shield.
How the score is produced:Our ratings are our own assessment, scored against the program's published terms and eligibility bars. We are compensated as an affiliate, and our ratings range from 4.0 to 4.6 rather than 5.0 because the programs differ. Read the full rating methodology.
Personal loan funding is unsecured personal credit of up to $250,000, underwritten on your personal credit score, income, and debt-to-income ratio rather than on business performance. It carries a 0% promotional interest period whose length varies by amount and credit profile, then converts to a roughly 6% to 29% APR with fixed payments over 12 to 84 months. Funding typically lands within 1 to 5 business days.
It is built for owners who cannot yet document a business, or who need capital faster than business underwriting allows. Our take: the 0% window is real value if you can retire the balance inside it. What you trade away is the separation between you and the business. You sign personally, it hits your personal credit utilization, and if the business stalls the debt does not.

Personal Loan Funding at a glance

How the Personal Loan Funding program actually works
This program sidesteps business underwriting entirely. Approval is a personal credit decision, which is what makes it fast and what makes it risky.
Personal credit review
Approval turns on your personal credit score, documented income, and debt-to-income ratio, which needs to sit under 45%. Business bank statements, business tax returns, and time in business are not the deciding factors here.
Approval and 0% window
Approved amounts run up to $250,000 with a 0% promotional interest period. The length of that period is set by the amount and your credit profile rather than being a fixed offer, so it is the single most important number to get in writing.
Fixed repayment after the promo
Funds typically arrive within 1 to 5 business days and can be used for business or personal purposes. Once the promotional period ends, the balance carries a roughly 6% to 29% APR on fixed monthly payments over a 12 to 84 month term.
Closer Capital's own worked example
- Loan amount: $100,000
- Promotional period: 12 months at 0%
- APR after the promo: 9.99%
- Term: 60 months
- First-year payment: about $1,667 per month, interest free
- Payment after the promo: about $2,121 per month
Note what the example shows: the payment rises by roughly 27% the month the promotional period ends. Plan for that number, not the first-year one.
Pros and cons, honestly
The case for and against this specific program, including the parts a sales page would leave out.
+ What holds up
- A genuine 0% promotional interest period, which no other Closer Capital program offers.
- No business documentation required in most cases, so no tax returns and no financial statements.
- Up to $250,000, which is real capital for a business that could not otherwise qualify for anything.
- Fast: funding typically within 1 to 5 business days after approval.
- Fixed monthly payments, so the post-promo obligation is predictable.
- Funds can go to anything, including startup costs, working capital, debt consolidation, equipment, or inventory.
- Unsecured, so no business or personal asset is pledged as collateral.
- The only program here that does not require business revenue history, which makes it the realistic option for a business under a year old.
- What to know before you apply
- You are personally liable. The debt is yours regardless of what happens to the business, and there is no entity standing between you and the lender.
- The 660+ credit score requirement, and 700+ for the best rates, is the strictest personal credit bar of any Closer Capital program.
- A debt-to-income ratio under 45% is a hard gate that has nothing to do with how well the business is doing.
- Once the promotional period ends, the rate can go to 29% APR, which is line-of-credit pricing on money you borrowed personally.
- The promotional period length is not published and varies by amount and profile, so the core value of the product is unknown until you have an offer.
- It raises personal credit utilization, which can lower your personal score and limit future personal borrowing including a mortgage.
- Origination fees may apply on top of the rate.
- It builds no business credit, so it does nothing to make the next business loan easier.
- Limits are lower than a revenue-qualifying business could access through a term loan or commercial facility.
Should you pick this or a different Closer Capital program?
Choose personal loan funding when the business cannot qualify on its own and the capital need is real and short-lived. If you have 6 or more months in business and $10,000 a month in revenue, apply for business credit first, because keeping the liability on the business is worth more than a promotional rate.

Personal Loan Funding FAQ
The questions people search before they apply for this program, answered straight.
How long does the 0% promotional period last?
The length varies by loan amount and credit profile, and Closer Capital does not publish a standard term. Its own example uses 12 months at 0% on a $100,000 loan. Because the entire value of this program depends on that number, get the exact count of months in writing before you accept the offer.
What credit score do I need for personal loan funding?
A 660 personal credit score is the stated minimum, with 700 or higher qualifying for the best rates. You also need a debt-to-income ratio under 45%. That is the highest personal credit bar of any Closer Capital program, because there is no business performance or collateral offsetting the risk.
Do I need business tax returns or financial statements?
In most cases no. This program is underwritten on personal credit rather than business performance, which is the whole point of it. That makes it viable for businesses too new or too thinly documented to qualify for the business programs.
What happens when the promotional period ends?
The balance begins accruing interest at roughly 6% to 29% APR based on your creditworthiness, on fixed monthly payments over a 12 to 84 month term. In Closer Capital's own example, a $100,000 loan moves from about $1,667 a month at 0% to about $2,121 a month at 9.99%. If your rate lands nearer 29%, that increase is far steeper.
Am I personally responsible for repaying this?
Yes. This is unsecured personal credit in your name, not business debt. There is no collateral to lose, but there is also no business entity absorbing the obligation. If the business fails, the balance and its effect on your personal credit remain yours.
